Validation Tool
LARCOS validation:
After a model has been edited and/or changed and is about to be uploaded back on the cloud, a validation tool will check that the data is correct.
Click on the polygon of interest, choose “QA Upload” to get to Quality Assurance and click on the Validate button in the lower left corner:
In the new window choose your correct corresponding database, upload your file with edits/changes by pressing on the green Upload button (see screenshot below), and the validation tool scans for eventual errors.
After the upload you can see the status of validation results at the bottom and when it's done, you will recieve an Email:
- Validation can be run without committing a Check-In.
- Validation checks for:
- All layers are in the database.
- All columns exist in the database.
- All columns are using the correct datatype.
- XYPoint has the correct EPSG.
- XYPoint is not null.
- Z is not null.
- No duplicate Id’s across the incoming database.
- No duplicate Id’s in the Portal database.
- Can be started by opening the Check-In dialogue and selecting the “Validate” button in the bottom left.
- Validation will send an email when finished.
- Email contains list of problems if any are found.
- Email contains a link to LARCOS that will directly go to checkout and open the Information window about the validation task. This will only work if the user is logging into the correct portal.
- Validation also runs on normal Check-In.
